Intricately hand-embroidered on tussar silk, this scarf/shawl is the work of talented artisans from West Bengal, under the umbrella of an NGO. Using traditional motifs, these pieces take a talented hand embroiderer weeks to complete. This scarf/shawl is produced as part of a women's cooperative. Raw tussar silk has a beautiful transparent quality. 

All fabrics are ethically hand-picked by Tanya on her regular trips to India. Quilts are sustainably repurposed by a family-run business that we have enjoyed a working relationship with for over 10 years.

Washing Instructions:

Hand wash in cold water, allow to drip dry. In order to protect this fine work, it is advisable to cover it with a clean damp cloth before ironing. When new the fabric is crisp, becoming beautifully soft when worn.
