Each cover has been made from part of a repurposed Galicha Quilt, backed with natural linen fabric to frame this exquisite embroidery. Galicha Quilts (Carpet Kantha) are made from layers of recycled cotton saris and hand-embroidered with vivid geometric patterns in couched cross-stitch. Perfect in their imperfections each piece is unique. A product of female resourcefulness and creativity, made in Northern Bangladesh mid 1900s. Every quilt is carefully selected for its condition, design, and authentic appeal. Freshly washed to ensure softness.
